3 Letters by Juan Diaz

The letters I chose from my design are B, T, and N. T being the letter that was capitalized and B and N as lower case. The reason why I chose these letters is that no matter where you put the letter in the frame they can look different for other people. So if you n and turn the frame or paper It can look like a U.Its the same with the other letters. Each letter gave me an issue to draw them. For T which was a Rockwell (Slab Serif), it was the serif, which is a small line or stroke that is attached to the end of a letter. The reason why it was hard to draw was that I needed to figure out how long I needed to draw the serif. If it was too long it would not look like a Rockwell font T.As for letter b a Helvetica(Sans Serif) font the issue was the counter and the bowl. If the bowl shape and size isn't drawn right it would affect the counter and since the counter is an oval it makes it hard to draw more accurately than a circle. For the letter N, a Bodoni (Modern) font what was hard was creating the shoulder. The shoulder is a curved stroke downward for the steam. It was hard to draw because you have to draw it from a skinny line to slowly get it thicker. As for why I put the letter where they are now in the frame it is because I wanted to try to have them intersect and overlap each other but to also give the person who is looking at the design to have more different views when turning the paper/design. That is why I choose the letters B, T, and N in my design.
